Do’s and Dont’s for Your New Lash Extensions

Not having to apply mascara to your new lash extensions will save you a lot of time. But,  it is important to take care of your lashes to keep them looking beautiful.

Besides getting refills  every 3-6 weeks —depending on the type of lashes— Here are some Do’s and Dont’s to help you get the most out of your eyelash implants: .

Do’s:

  • Avoid to get your lashes wet for the first 24 hours. This is the right time for the adhesive to cure.
  • Avoid steam rooms, saunas, swimming pools and hot tubs for 48 hours.
  • Use only oil free cleansers.
  • Use a sealant to protect lashes from humidity, moisture, and prolong their life between filling sessions.
  • Use a sleep mask to avoid sleeping on your face. , your face  rubbing on your pillow all night is a guaranteed way to  lose some lashes.  (our Premium Pillow is a great alternative when it comes to protecting your eyelashes during sleep… learn more)
  • Rinse your eyes after any activity you may do that cause a lot of sweating especially if wearing sunscreen. Avoid sunscreen around the eye zone.
  • Brush your lashes in the morning after your shower.

Dont’s:

  • Pull on your lashes. You can damage your natural lashes root.

  • Remove lashes yourself. Removal must be done by a professional.
  • Play with or constantly feel your lashes. There are natural oils, dirt and germs  in your hands and you can transfer it to your lashes.
  • Use a lash curler because it can damage and break off the lash extensions.
  • Have your lashes tinted or permed after you have had lash extensions.
  • Ever fall sleep with mascara on.
  • Use products that contain oil in them around your eyes. (we listed this twice because it is really important!).
