Eyelash Extensions Facts You Must Know

Thanks to eyelash extensions, now you can have the lashes you’ve always dreamed of. Thick and beautiful, it is possible. when done properly, they look fantastic,  but one wrong move could cause some serious damage.

Eyelash extensions are a huge commitment and you have to consider a lot of factors before getting them. From the type of lash to the length of the extension. It is good for you to know the ins and outs of eyelash extensions before you jump in.

How do I choose the right lash extensions?

Lash extensions are usually either synthetic, silk or mink. Choosing the right ones comes down to how your lashes are naturally. Synthetic lashes work well in a thick coarse hair because your natural lashes can support it.

If you have fairer skin go for a silk lash since it’s much lighter than a synthetic lash.

If you have very fine lashes, almost non-existent, get a mink lash and it will make your lash line look so natural.

Keep in mind that mink lashes are more of a luxury, often costing $100 more for the service.

What is the right length and fullness?

I will depend on the length of your lashes naturally.

If you have naturally long lashes is better going for fullness rather than length. If you have medium length lashes, you should go for length and fullness. And if you fall into the sparse lash category go with something medium fullness.

How long do the extensions last?

Extensions usually last from 4-6 weeks. Depending on the growth of your lashes a nd refill is necessary every 2 to 3 weeks.

How to take care of lash extensions?

Brush out and separate your lashes with a lash comb every time they get wet.

Will extensions harm my natural lashes?

It could only happen if the extensions aren’t applied properly and that’s the main reason to go to a reputable stylist.

One final, but very important  recommendation is to give your lashes a 2-3 month break after a year of wearing your implants.
